Bulk Deposits

You can now bulk update the deposit date field on donations. This is helpful when you're reconciling with bank deposits, to make sure that the right donations have been entered. With the Bulk Deposits feature, you can select multiple donations and set the deposit date en masse. The interface shows you a total for all selected donations, so that you can verify that selections are correct.

  1. Click on Donations, then select Deposits
  2. Click New Deposit.
  3. Place a check in the box next to donations that should be included in the deposit.
  4. Double-check that the number and total amount of the deposit is correct.
  5. Enter the date of the deposit.
  6. Optionally enter an ID for the deposit.
  7. Click "Save Deposit".

You can use the optional "Deposit Identifier" field to group donations together if you have multiple deposits on the same day. For example, if there is a deposit from Bluepay and a separate deposit of a group of checks, you can enter "Bluepay" in the Deposit Identifier field for the Bluepay donations. Doing this will result in two deposits on the same date: one grouped under "Bluepay", and the rest with a blank Deposit Identifier.

You can also edit deposits that have already been entered. You can change the date and add or remove donations from the deposit.

  1. Click on Donations, then select Deposits
  2. Click on the deposit that you'd like to edit.
  3. Un-check the checkbox to remove any donations that shouldn't be included in that deposit.
  4. Check the boxes for any additional donations you'd like to add.
  5. Edit the date and deposit identifier if desired.
  6. Click "Save Deposit".

If you know the deposit date at the time when you're entering the donation, it's also possible to set the deposit date while doing data entry. To do so, simply enter a date in the "deposit date" field on the donation screen. Donations entered this way are automatically grouped together into a deposit, and there is no need to go back and bulk-enter the deposit dates.

The same works for importing donations. If you import donations with a value in the deposit date field, deposits will automatically be created.

Custom Date Range on Bulk Giving Statements

Now you can select a custom date range when generating a bulk giving statement.

  1. Go to Donors, Statements, then click New Giving Statement.
  2. Click "Custom Date Range"
  3. Click the "From" date field and select a starting date.
  4. Click the "To" date field and select an ending date.
  5. Click Generate Statement.

Other miscellaneous improvements and fixes:

  • User accounts are no longer automatically created when entering donors. Instead, if a donor signs up later, it'll link their account via their email address at that time.
  • Fixed a problem where gift designations were not automatically created when importing donations.
